Overview

Ten40Connect is a missions sending agency committed to Christ and the Great Commission. We exist in order to mobilize, equip and send committed Christian students and professionals to serve and reach the unreached in the megacities of the 10/40 Window, whether that be on short-term programs of two to five weeks or a more extended commitment of one to two years and beyond.

Since 1990, we have been organizing summer programs, first in Hong Kong and then in several major cities in China. We have had the privilege of equipping and sending over 700 students and young professionals from USA and Canada. In more recent years, we have begun a westward movement to serve among the Muslims in Turkey and Kyrgyzstan, secular states that are more open among the countries of the Turkic Window.

At Ten40Connect, we are not only engaged in sending short-termers to cities in the 10/40 Window, but we are also in the business of connecting longer-term professionals to career positions overseas. These positions include business professionals in human resource and management, sales, marketing, and technology; medical personnel in primary care and public health; teachers and trainers from private kindergartens to public universities.

The majority of our board, home staff and long-termers (tentmakers) are Asian Americans with professional backgrounds. As a result, we are sensitive to the professional concerns, cultural needs and issues of Asian Americans, e.g. career development and viability, parental expectations, security and success issues. As a sending agency, we see ourselves as a bridge, existing to help you discover who you are (as an individual and a professional) and to help you match that to where God wants you to be. Where does He want you? What does He want you to do? Search His heart. Don’t simply default to chasing after the Asian American Dream. Allow us, instead, to come alongside you to help you find and fulfill God’s dream for your life!
