There are a billion Muslims in the world today. If God’s grace is to reach to the ends of the earth, Muslim nations must be included. For many decades, Muslims have rejected the Gospel – and have even been hostile toward it. But as we learn about their histories and the present suffering in Afghanistan and its neighboring countries, our hearts go out to them. With the wars, the violence, the oppression and the dehumanization of women in some of these countries, we must wake up to their urgent needs. We must ask: What would it take to bridge the gaps of understanding between our worlds? What would it take to open their hearts to the Gospel – the Good News of Jesus Christ?
